can this bread be prescribed on doctor’s prescription? I am looking for something better than the horrible stuff I am getting at the moment.

I cannot eat Genius bread it makes me feel sick but the fruit bread gives me bad stomach cramps and diarrhoea. Feels just like the inflammation from Crohn’s diseas…

Of course Genius bread is a healthy option if you are intollerant to gluten. Unless we have a bad reaction to a particular ingredient and the food is not overladen with dodgy ingredients in general, everything should be okay within moderation

I have been a coeliac and lactose intolerant for 11 years, eating the cardboard that was being offered as bread. When genius bread came out, i was thrilled with how nice it was and that you could get it on perscription. But on reading these threads, i now know the genius bread has been causing me problems and from today will not eat it. Glutafin make fresh white/bread bread which is nice but a bit doughy. So it’s glutafin for me.

I’m the same!have had really bad breathing,weight problems,exastion for about 5 years now.One infection I had nearly killed me so in desperation I tried cutting out all dairy and gluten and in a fortnight felt amazing!!No inhalers ,better immunity and have put on half a stone(previously impossible!)Am still shocked it was my diet,docs not convinced.
Tried the genius bread off and on and quite a few symptoms are reoccurring.Thought it must be other foods because it says free from so many things???Oh well I’m going to cut that out too.Not worth it for me!!

I agree with SOMEONE WHO CARES,
I haven’t been diagnosed Celiac, But I know i am from what i am like on wheat and gluten, etc bread, pasta, cakes, biscuits.

But when I eat Genius – the symptoms feel like they are back, there is something in it which makes me feel ill again.

was thrilled to find Genius bread as it tastes good has good consistency and have eaten it regularly over the past 3 weeks – however my mood has dropped drastically, my concentration/co-ordination have completely gone, my acid reflux out of control again & itching all over. Sadly Genius is the only new thing in my diet as otherwise I eat very plain, unprocessed “safe for me” foods. Disappointed, at least they’re trying but that one bites the dust for me.
